 Drill Teams

Air Force Junior ROTC cadets across the nation dedicate countless hours to their unit’s drill team. Drill Team participation is used as a means of instilling discipline and esprit de corps, and continues to be one of the finest methods for developing confidence and leadership abilities of cadets. Units compete at local,state, regional and national drill team competitions throughout the year. While fostering a friendly and entertaining environment, these competitions provide cadets an opportunity to showcase their hours of dedication and tremendous marching skills.

First Year Regulation/30 Step ​ The 30 Drill Team is made up of 9 cadets  that are in their 1st year of JROTC plus the Commander ,who may be no more than a 2nd year JROTC cadet.Cadets will learn and execute the 30 Step Flight Drill Sequence.

​Unarmed Regulation Drill Team  
The Una
rmed Regulation Drill team is a highly professional team composed of 9 cadets plus the Commander that  execute over 70 precision drill movements Team members must be dedicated to learning Air Force Drill and Ceremonies.

​Color Guard The Color Guard,a highly professional and patriotic team that combines precision drill and proper flag courtesies,is one of the most visible co-curricular activities within the Air Force Junior ROTC program.courtesies.Their primary functions are casing and uncasing,presenting,folding,posting,and retiring the colors. Team members must be dedicated to learning Air Force Drill and Ceremonies,The Army Manual of Arms and flag etiquette.

Saber Team The Saber Team is a highly professional team that combines precision drill and Saber/Sword movements.Their primary functions are presenting the Saber/Sword arch.A Saber/Sword arch is designed to add military professionalism and decor to an event at a variety of ceremonies.Team members must be dedicated to learning Air Force Drill and Ceremonies and the Army Manual of Arms.

​Armed Regulation Drill Team The Armed Regulation Drill team is a highly professional team composed of 9 cadets plus the Commander that  utilizes  precision drill movements with replica rifles  to instill discipline and esprit de corps.Team members must be dedicated to learning Air Force Drill and Ceremonies and the Army Manual of Arms.

Raider/PT Team Raider Team is an athletic team designed for small groups of physically fit and mentally tough cadets who compete in various outdoor activities preferably in a very primitive-type location with solid amenities to ensure safety of the participants. Raider Team/PT events vary depending on location/competition, but typically involve some type of personal fitness/strength test, distance team running, obstacle course, and rescue/first aid challenge. Other events may include rope bridge building, land navigation, and mental acuity tests.
