Amount: Provides 100 cadets a full four-year ROTC college scholarship,including room and board, at select Minority Serving Institutions (MSI), Historic Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) and Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI). This scholarship was established by former U.S. Air Force Chief of Staff (CSAF) General David L. Goldfein.

Criteria: Each year, the governor and the lieutenant governor may each appoint two students, and each state senator and state representative may appoint one student to receive a TASSP scholarship. Students must meet specific requirements to be eligible for nomination and to receive a scholarship. Prior to receiving the scholarship, students must agree to certain conditions including a four-year commitment as a member of the Texas Army National Guard, Texas Air National Guard, Texas State Guard, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Merchant Marine or a commissioned officer in any branch of the armed services of the United States. The scholarship becomes a loan if the conditions are not met.
Time: Awarded when the Cadet begins college; each year of college, up to all 4 years

Application Process: Cadets may apply directly through the office of the Governor, Lt Governor, or their State Senator or State Representative
