- Air Force Junior ROTC is not a military accessions program and cadets are never under any obligation to join the military.
- We are a citizenship training program that is designed to educate and train high school cadets in citizenship, promote community service, instill personal responsibility, accountability, character, and self-discipline.
- The mission of Air Force Junior ROTC is "Developing citizens of character."

- The TX-20081 Air Force JROTC Group was established at Forney High School on August 27, 2008, by an agreement between the Forney ISD School District and the United States Air Force.
- As members of TX-20081, the students in Air Force Junior ROTC are referred to as Cadets.
- TX-20081 consists of Cadets from both Forney High School and North Forney High School.
- Aerospace Science (40%) : Heritage of flight, principles of aircraft flight and navigation, human requirements of flight, development of aerospace power, aerospace vehicles, rocketry, space programs, space technology, and the aerospace industry.
- Leadership Education (40%): Military customs and courtesies, citizenship in the United States, first aid, wellness, health and fitness, basic drill and ceremonies, effective communications, management, human relations, life skills for life after high school.
- Health and Wellness (20%): PT (Physical Training)
- Guest Speakers & Field Trips
When you join our program, you become apart of a family. Cadets are expected to :
- Adhere to the grooming standards of the Air Force while participating in JROTC activities
- Wear variations of AFJROTC uniforms appropriately
- Participate in physical training
- Participate in community service and LDR (Leadership Development Requirements) activities (enforced after 1st year in program)
- Maintain acceptable standards of conduct

- Cadets may receive special consideration for Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) scholarships. Which will pay for tuition, books, and fees
- Cadets enlisting after graduating from hs are eligible to enlist at one to two pay grades higher than other enlistees.
- CSAF Flight Academy Scholarship Program Cadets are competitively selected to attend an 8 week summer aviation program at an accredited university. Cadets can earn their Private Pilot's License while receiving college credit.
