30 step drill is a drill team that consists of AS1’s and is commanded by an AS2. It’s all very simple drill movements that will set the baseline for any other drill team younger cadets would want to join later. There’s usually a 30 step team at most drill meets, so it also gives younger cadets a chance to compete at competitions. Not only will cadets have the opportunity to attend Saturday practices, but 30 step is often practiced in class on drill days.
armed Drill
Cadet Commander: Cadet Howell Meet times:
Starts 2nd Semester
We drill with replica rifles and learn a few other drill movements with the rifles. Those who can drill with rifles tend to have an easier time drilling with other teams.
Unarmed Drill
Cadet Commander: Cadet Wiley Meet times:
Starts 2nd Semester
We drill with the same drill sequence as Armed Drill, just without the rifles. Anyone on the Armed Drill team normally becomes part of the Unarmed Drill team.

Cadet Commander: Cadet Howell Meet times:

The Color Guard is a group of four or five cadets that present the colors at games, ceremonies, or competitions. For some civilians, the color guards might look like a few kids with flags and toy rifles, but to our Corps of Cadets, they lead the way by serving our community and nation in a very visible way.
